Caring for bead bracelets
3 min read ยท Beach Bead Co

A bead bracelet needs very little care. Three habits do the job: keep it dry, store it flat and handle it gently.
These are the same notes on each of our product pages.
Keep it dry
Take your bracelet off before swimming and showers. Water can weaken stretch cord over time and can dull a gold-tone finish.
If it gets wet, pat it with a soft cloth and let it dry in the air.
Store it flat
Lay the bracelet flat in a box or pouch, or hang it loosely. Do not leave it stretched over a hook for a long time.
Keep gold-tone and glass beads apart from sharp objects, which can chip or scratch them.
Handle it gently
Roll the bracelet onto your wrist rather than pulling it open wide. Over-stretching can wear the cord.
The Glass Bead Stretch Bracelet, Coral Reef and the Gold-Tone Ball Bead Bracelet share the same care notes.
What each material needs
Glass seed beads: wipe with a soft dry cloth and keep them away from hard knocks. The Beaded Stack Set of 4 mixes glass beads with tin alloy details, so give it the same gentle care.
Faux pearl beads: these are made to look like pearls, so keep them dry and avoid rubbing them against rough surfaces. The Faux Pearl Bead Bracelet follows the same notes.
If a bead comes loose, keep it, and contact us with your order number.
